Title: Net Demo compatibility.

I have a question. Can newer releases of odamex run net demos from older versions? For example, running an 0.6.4 netdemo in 0.7, or an 0.7 demo in trunk?

This is a goal and has been since netdemos were implemented. However with all of the changes that Odamex is enduring it was decided that maintaining netdemo compatibility would be more work than it was worth putting time into. When the netcode is more stable and flexible, netdemo compatibility will be a much higher priority.

How long until you think that the net demo feature will be finalized to the point where you can play old net demos in new releases? When odamex reaches 1.0?
