Useless news for Mac users. Okay development though.
What exactly do we need to get a mac version coming/working?

Well, it WAS helpful until it started asking me to install WXWidgets, which I don't know how to goddamn do.
How do you build as follows? :@
EDIT: NM, got it working, but couldn't do the two specific configures to work. Oh well. GOing onto the second thing in am oment.
EDIT: It's too vague. I'm bugging out.

Well, I got it, but I have no idea what to do with XCode or the C++ code.

I'd like to help compile Mac OS X, but I don't think I can. How can I install the compiler (what was it called again?) without going into Unix and risking screwing things up (especially when the instructions aren't really specific and for some stupid fuckin' reason mwhen I do this kind of stuff I never get results identical to the instructions)...
...Should somebody guide me through reliably, I'll gladly compile the source code for you guys over and over (doesn't take too long, right...?)
NOTE: I have a PPC computer, so compiling may only work for PPC. I doubt it, but it may happen.

People just don't seem to visit here often enough, that's all. I'm sure somebody will respond soon enough.

Is there any other way? It's asking me to get their developer tools, THEN go into unix and try to install it. I'm afraid of screwing something up, as I have no experience in Unix.
*sigh* I guess it's back to Nexuiz until then, I guess. I'll keep a tabo n this site, though. Thanks for clearing things up.

Ok, thanks...I'm a bit of a slacker when it comes to things like this, so I want to see if we can fix the problem I'm having with the Mac launcher not launching first before I go about downloading SDL.

PPC.
There's something called 'odalaunch', which, when double-clicked, does not function. Sorry...that IS the Launcher. <:$
Okay, so let me recap the problem: It installs, but the Launcher doesn't start. It does that fade-out thing on the icon like every other application's icon in Mac OS X, but nothing appears. No indication that anything actually opened is given, and nothing opens. Nothing appears ANYWHERE.
I'm sorry for being rude before: I typed most of the stuff I did on this forum in between Gears of War respawns/failed PGR 3 races. You may or may not know how aggravated you can get from this.

General Discussion / Re: Allow multiple key bindings?

« on: February 01, 2007, 18:23:42 »
I say we avoid any double bind functionality. There aren't that many buttons to press in DOOM anyway, and that just leads to exploits that ruin the game experience.
(PS: sorry to topic advertise, but I need help with getting this to work on Mac OS X...anyone have a link to the Mac OS X launcher, at least?)

Well, I can't even get this game to RUN on the Mac. Anyone mind helping?
No errors, not even a window. Just double click the application and nothing happens. I can't drag Doom2.wad into the goddamn game.
On top of that, where hte hell do I download the OS X launcher? It didn't come with the package.
