I've been trying to record a rocket jump trick in 32in24-12 map08 but all every single demo of this map breaks.
Every time I play this map I get 2 demos from the same session, for some reason it splits the demo automatically 1 second into the map. I'd assume it is restarting the demo recording for some reason. Neither demo functions properly.

this wad is hosted on which is where I recorded the demos as well. I can record other maps just fine as this demo proves

r5000 re-implemented sv_emptyfreeze and as a by product of that, it caused sv_emptyreset to not reset the map when the last client disconnected. Instead, the map was reset when another client eventually connects to the server. The server sends the client the current map name and then when the map reset happens, the server sends the client a message to load a map, causing the client to split its recorded demo and start in a new file.

r5051 fixes this problem by ensuring the server resets the map as soon as the last client disconnects.

I should have mentioned that Comment 1 assumes that you were connected to a server running an SVN version > r5000.
