Technical Support / Odamex Doom Builder Config?

« on: January 01, 2014, 17:48:55 »
Hi there, I basically want to be able to create a cross platform CTF map I've only made ST specific one's before (which will never see the light of day), but the only way I can think of perhaps doing this is through an Odamex configuration file. I did some searching, found a broken link but I came across a website with one, (see attached document), I copied and pasted this into a text file and put it in the config folder but unfortunately it doesn't seem to show when I begin a new map. It is a fairly old one I have been notified. I was wondering if anyone perhaps has a link to such a file or what you lot use to actually make a cross platform CTF map? I tried searching the Odamex wiki and message boards but nothing shows so I'm assuming people must be editing the Boom configuration.

Maps, Wads and Mods / Riot! DM [WIP]

« on: December 30, 2013, 16:09:48 »
Riot DM is an in progress DM wad by myself intended for OS play for up to 6 players. The final version is planned to have a minimum of ten maps but it unfortunately isn't vanilla compatible due to the use of some generalised actions so a boom compatible source port is required. 5 maps were done yesterday (except for detailing and some spawn fixes). Now, enough shit and onto the screenshots.

Map 02: Shoot it! (No need for a screenshot as it's just a shoot remix).

Credits thus far: Dew for testing map 01 (cheers sunshine), Jonathan Rimmer for the Erotic.. I mean, erm, Erratic texture pack and of course id software for Doom.

TO DO: Add detail, fix some spawn placement and get started on the next five.

This is early stages but I'll clean up a couple of things and post a beta perhaps once 6 maps are done.

Maps, Wads and Mods / Re: Doomkid's Deathmatch [Vanilla Style DM]

Looks really good judging by those screenshots. I'll see if I can get this hosted on Union for you. Nice too see that you're back mapping by the way.

Wow, thanks Doomkid! It must be a relatively decent map if you liked it so cheers for that lad. I have two extra maps here (not pictured) http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?search=1&field=author&word=springy&sort=time&order=asc&page=1 that aren't finalised however.

Maps, Wads and Mods / Your Mum (OS Duel map). Plus a couple of WIP's.

« on: September 06, 2013, 15:32:29 »
Hello ladies and gents, I have three duel maps for you guys and was wondering if I could get some feedback please? Hopefully, these will provide some good old fragging fun.
Screenshots:

Crackdown

Slam (needs a little more work). Started last year, practically finished the other day.

YM (just call it that). Finished the other day.

Take care and have a pleasant rest of the day.
Note: These require Gothic TX to run. Crackdown and Slam are very near completion but Slam will most likely get a complete rework.
