I really want to get this going some time now that 0.4 is out. Anyone still interested? If so I'll get a few helpers and see if we can get some kind of odaparty going on once a week or so.

Yeah, I'm totally interested, but I don't think we should just focus on CTF; we should focus on other game modes as well, since CTF has pretty much been the dominant game mode on ZDaemon for the past several years, and to keep placing more focus on it than on any other game mode is trite and uninteresting.

We ought to try to play as big of a variety of WADs as possible, too.

I agree with you Naut.

I have started a new channel for arranging games in. It is #odagames on irc.oftc.net. In it we'll discuss ways to bring more players and most of all, PLAY ODAMEX. I encourage EVERYONE to join the channel to raise interest :).

I'm usually on the co-op servers a lot. Only problem is that I usually end up breaking the maps on accident leaving them unfinishable.

(That's the third one this week)

Some wads just aren't made for coop and it has to be the good ones :(

It's always one of two things: A one-way trap door closes blocking off a key (and then I die in the key room because I suck), or one closes blocking off the rest of the level.

Maybe there should be a server setting to reset the level after some length of time with the server empty. Or if all the players stay dead for a minute or something. How about a voting system?

you can always turn emptyreset on, which resets the map after all players leave

This event kinda of died because everyone, including myself admittedly, never got it going D:.

I want to bring this back to life tho!

EVERY night, a group of players (the people of #odagames) will pick a game for us to play the next day. The next day at 7:00 CST we will gather in the server and get the games going! Both Ralphis and I have access to DTX1, and I'm sure if neither of us are around GhostlyDeath would be happy to substitute.

Thoughts?
