Yet means what? Is possible multiplatform support in the future? Or just and only open-source?

It dosen't need to be open source. It was created by bond simply to connect you to master server ports all at once with global variables to make the act of actually playing doom ALOT easier.

Yeah, but if you have source code, you can compile ide via wine-devel for linux. Like Miranda (http://nibbler.net.tvtrinec.cz/miranda-linux.png) and others open-source windows aplications.

For something which has little purpose other then making end users happy, open source would definitely be my choice.  The reason being is that the main developer can worry abou developing their program as opposed to making sure it works on  every OS, and people with specific interests can add whatever they need to it, keeping the whole community happy (being linux compatibility, or other modifications).  There is no way I can force you to release the source, but it is my recommendation.

Also, if you die, having the source available on the internet allows the project to be continued ^_^.

You are perhaps the most blindly idiotic person I have come across this year.  Read the posts of the thread before responding.  Read them fully.  Understand them.  Check the official IDE website instead of injecting your non-factually based idiotic fantasies.
